Walking Foot/Even-Feed Foot Struggle

Most of the time this issue is...the bottom of the walking foot does not line up with the feed dogs. Sometimes they do not match at all on one side, causing a problem with moving the fabric evenly. I would ask for a replacement of your foot

Thank you for posting this. I bought the same machine and struggled for a week to get it to quilt with the walking foot that came with it. No luck. I kept thinking it was me. I finally took it back and bought an Elna instead. It isn't great at FMQ, but I am much happier. Less stress!

No. I use the walking foot to anchor pieces before FMQ or I use it to do cross-hatching. Lately, I've been using the walking foot exclusively for various quilting patterns. Much less stressful for me than FMQ with the Elna.
