    Default Walking Foot Sticks

I have a Brother XL-3750 sewing machine that includes a walking foot. The walking foot intermittently sticks, regardless of how many layers I'm stitching. It sticks in an UP position, then thungs back down on the fabric. Not sure what is causing this or how to correct it. I haven't found this posted elsewhere on QB & would appreciate any assistance/advice. I'm a newbie at quilting.

    Thanks,

    Curlytop

Give it a drop of sewing machine oil at the pivots. Move the foot by hand to find them. Also be certain you have it installed correctly. Sometimes they are tricky.

is it a brother brand because I have not had that problem with my xl-3500. Maybe you have it istalled incorrectly or it is the wrong one

Make sure the walking foot doesn't have dust or lint built up inside. I used compressed air on mine, with a big bunch of lint coming out once when it was misbehaving.

Thanks for all the suggestions. The compressed air seemed to resolve the issue.

I have the same model Brother (and LOVE it). My walking foot "squeaks". Maybe I better clean/oil it before it becomes a problem...
