Walking Foot

Walking Foot
I recently watched a video on paper piecing and I noticed that the woman was using a walking foot. She did sew on the newsprint. I have never thought to use my walking foot while paper piecing. I am interested in getting feedback from those who have. Thank you.

I do not use my walking foot when PP. I have to use an open toe foot when PPing due to the visibility of the lines to stitch on. The standard walking foot for my machine would not allow me to see the lines to follow for PPing.

I don't see a need for a walking foot when paper piecing. If I want to hold a piece in place I use a dab of glue or glue stick. You are only sewing through 3 layers that are thin. I prefer my open toe foot when I am PP.

Same here I need to see where i am stitching to get clean lines when paper piecing.
