Wall Hanging

That's really a broad question there - not knowing what you would like to actually hang it is hard to suggest something.
I'd suggest picking out some blocks that appeal to you and make a few blocks and border them out and bam you have a wall hanging. Since it is a smaller project than a quilt you can really push yourself and pick out some intricate ones.
I have a list of free tutorials/patterns for wall hanging links on my personal site. Maybe one will help you narrow it down?

Don't forget about the holidays... the fall always gets backed up and you might not have time to make anything seasonal ;)
