Thumbs up Walmart added a new aisle of fabric

Wow, I am so excited! As I walked through Walmart today, I noticed they had added another aisle of fabric. I was wondering what they were going to do with all the fabric I saw stacked around.

I noticed when I was at my WalMart (in McKinney, TX) a few days ago, that the fabric dept. looked bigger. Next time I
will stroll through & take a look. Just dawned on me that a new JoAnn's is opening up a new store about a mile & a half away in July so Wally is looking at competition.

The two Walmarts close to me has a brand new fabric/notion dept. The quality cotton fabric are $8.99 yard and the prices go down from there. There are many different qualities and I found two bolts of Minkee in with the baby pre quilted fabrics. I asked if there would be more of the Minkee but the employee said they get whatever they get. Also all Pellon products are there by the bolt. From the fusible fleece to the grid fusible interfacing. Also the Fuse A Boo batting was there too. Also batting with no scrim by the bolt. I bought a whole bolt of that.

After having changed the department and reduced the amount of fabric they carried last year, our area Wally Mart is adding more fabric. I was there yesterday and they had lots more and were adding to it. It was a mess but they are organizing. Yay!

My Walmart has fabric all over the place too and nothing is in any kind of order--batting mixed in with fabrics, etc. I asked and the salesperson said that there were plans for remodel but she didn't know when but the fabric keeps coming...
