Default Walmart is coming to life here in our little town!

Wow, I went to our local Walmart yesterday and they HAVE FABIC! They had bolts upon bolts of fabrics all over the place. It was like heaven again. However, it isn't organized for easy locating as they don't have the racks for display set up yet. I found tone on tone (white) that I haven't seen at Walmart for years and really nice fabrics. Of course, the prices are higher than they used to be, but the are still below Joann's, our only other fabric store around here. I am so happy that I can buy my fabric back at Walmart. They even had a clerk assigned to that department! Well, here goes the rest of my money!

Anyone else finding this to be the case in their Walmart?

I found some batiks (8 bolts I think) in a Wal-Mart close to us over the weekend! :-)

Great news for you, I sure wish mine would get fabric back. Have fun shopping.

I went to my local Wal-Mart yesterday and there was a large sign on a stand just inside the entrance stating that they had fabric and giving the location in the store. They have carried it for several months now but this was the first time I had seen it prominently advertised at any of their stores. This particular store is next door to a Hobby Lobby and maybe l/2 mile from JoAnns that just moved into a new location.

The Wal-Mart out my directions has never stopped carrying the cloth and yarn. However, I have noticed lately that they are carrying a lot more 100% cotton fabric. Yea!

I have 2 Walmarts about the same distance from my house. One is not going to carry fabric again. I was told months ago that the other one has fabric. I mentioned this to my X DIL this morning and she said that yes they have a LOT of fabric and that they do have someone working in that department to cut. So...looks like I will be paying that store a visit soon.
