It has already happened in our store in Glen Burnie. I have noticed some very pretty new fabrics on thier shelves. And, while I don't know fabric very well at all, they look and feel very top of the line. The price is still kinda reasonable even though prices are rising. Ours run about 4.94 per yard, some higher and some lower. They still have mark downs for 2.00 to 3.00 per yard too.

If they do, I hope it is a better quality than the junk they have in packages now. When we did have bolt fabric, a lot of it was of a poor quality; but some was rather nice. I live kinda on the edge of Amish country, so they also had fabric suitable for their apparel. Although I NEVER have seen an Amish person in there. My DIL is on the town council and she said the Amish wouldn't shop at Wal Mart because they are open on Sundays. Wal Mart built a horse parking area, which I once saw a horse and buggy in it. I just think Wal Mart is really out of touch with what shoppers REALLY want. They need a reality check in their pocket book.

If anyone should ever run across a list of what stores, or what geographic areas, they are planning to have carry fabric again, please post it!

You'd think with a whole store full of fabric, I wouldn't care about whether Wal-Mart carries it or not. But you know, once a fabriholic, always a fabriholic... and when our Wal-Marts closed the fabric departments, I stopped going to Wal-Mart. It just wasn't a fun place to be anymore.

Favorite Fabrics, same here. I used to buy my pet supplies there, food, ect, just so I could go see the new fabrics, ect. Now I hardly go anymore since the fabric is gone.
