BUT you need to know that not ALL WM's will be bringing back fabric...it must have been making money on the fabric and be in a rural area...that is what the Corporate man told me on the phone 3 weeks ago!
Our WM will be one to NOT get it back because even though our Fabric dept. made money, we are not a rural area..go figure...
The WM closest to me that carries fabric is in one of the largest cities in Indiana.

I've noticed it in our Walmart, which is enlarging the fabric department, and the clerks and I are on a first name basis due to my frequent stops and they confirmed this also.
Sounds like a nasty thing to do to sewers who's patterns are based on 44-45".

I am glad this is happening if for no other reason than you can at least get a few of the notions and basics you may need at a discount.

My local Walmart said they are not bringing back the fabric. I just called them. Luckily I live within driving distance to 2 of them. One carries fabric and said they would do so for a year or so--hope this changes their mind!! The other one flat out said- no we aren't doing it!

Well I live in J. KY and have to go to Hazard walmart and they have been getting in lots of fabic the girl that does the ordering is wonderful and gets in lots of good stuff. I don't by the quilters fabric as it is too thin but they had a sale the other day some of the fabric was 40 cents, 50 cents and 80 cents a yard and I got about 32 yards for just under 20 bucks.
