I look for the David Textile brand and they run under $3. I have not seen anything for that price at Joann's here and definitely not that quality.

Yep, saw about a 15% or so hike. Still cheaper than JoAnns here.

Thank you for that link. I originally typed in 'Walmart.com' and went to the search for pre-cut fabrics. That showed nothing, but your link brought me to all sorts of goodies!! Thank you!!

Recently DH and I were driving back from a visit in Oklahoma, and passed through Texas along the way. We stopped at a Wal-Mart (I think it was Amarillo) for something and I noticed their large fabric selection. I was amazed. I wish my local Wal-Mart, which is within walking distance, would stock fabric.

I will buy David's Textile fabric anytime I see it. It's the best fabric bargain anywhere. I love the feel of it. The rep comes to the Walmart closest to me that has fabric and the fabric dept manager orders the new lines. She said the rep came when the store was being built and she ordered some fabric for the dept and she has been doing it ever since. A few of the Walmarts are in the David's Textile reps areas so they are the ones that have the Quilt of the Month fabric from David's Textiles.

I was in Walmart YESTERDAY buying paint for my new quilting shed and I mentioned to the guy mixing the paint what it was for. He said that Walmart was putting fabric back in all the stores they had removed them from. If that's true, all our emails and gripes evidently worked! It will be great to have a bigger selection. The one in Sherman, TX, had gotten down to a few fat quarters and notions.
