Girl, you did good. Love the jungle print. No fabric in the Farmville WM. The new one in Appomattox has 2 yard cuts only. NOW we have a nice quilt shop in Rice, VA. Just getting started but super nice. Normally would have to drive 1 hour to get fabric. Good Going.

So i went to walmart today and I was so bummed. they didn't have any of the precut bolts. And when I asked the lady had zero clue as to what I was talking about. She told me that if I wanted a whole bolt of fabric I could buy it. She would just measure what was left on it lol. She was clueless

Is it possible that the walmarts that are doing this are the ones that are trying to get rid of fabric? as far as I know, my walmart doesn't have any either and they said they are keeping the fabric dept.

Maybe. I went to one that was about 50 minutes from my house today. I needed to go out that way anyways so it wasn't too much out of my way. I figured that they would have it since they have the biggest and best selection of fabrics out of the 3 in my area. I think I am going to try the one that's 30 min away this weekend. They have the smallest department so maybe they will have some. I could see them getting rid of the entire department and just selling those.

I went to a Walmart in another town today - called first and they had a fabric department. I did not find the bolts of fabric so asked the lady and she had never heard of it. she then told me that ALL WALMARTS ARE NOT GOING TO HAVE FABRIC DEPARTMENTS - SOONER OR LATER. Said they did not make any money on it and nobody sewed anymore. The young women did not sew for their families anymore and the old ladies that quilted were dying off. BUMMER
