Walmart find yippee!!!!!!!

awesome! I'm sad that about a month ago they closed the fabric department at my nearest Walmart. I have other marts near by but that one had the best fabric selection. I actually need a piece of pink fabric since I normally do not keep pink on hand (icky for my tastes) so I might have to stop in the next nearest one.
When Walmart gets good fabric in it's a great deal but they normally sell out of the good stuff fast. You got a great score there :)

Whoopie! Nice selection. Like that white/black with red flowers. My store still has fabric and they have expanded it somewhat. Like another said, lots of fleece. I was so afraid they were going to take it all out, but now, I guess not. I do have a very nice LQS which is my go-to place for most of my fabric now, but Wally is always another choice.

that is super.. I'll have to ask my s-i-l if she has heard anything.. We were so bummed, because when they built the new super center on the east side, all the fabric stores closed because of the competition, i.e. Joanns & Rag Shop, then Wal-Mart stopped carrying the bolts and other goodies too. All they have now are packaged pieces of stuff.

Our Walmart suddenly closed its fabric dept about a year ago and put in aisles of packaged crafting items, such as Martha Stewart wedding products and scrapbook items. Looks like you found a nice stash of fabric to work with. One thing I did find is that it is a good idea to pre-wash Wal-Mart fabrics to be sure that they don't fade or shrink. I bought some fabric once at Wal-Mart to make a quilt and when I started to cut it out, found it was really stretched off grain, too and I was unable to correct it to use it.
