our california walmart has a large amount of precuts and I recently found some good tea strained muslin in a 3 yard x 3 yard package. also all the other quilters favorite precuts. I found some great prints, solids and batiks and the prices are great.

Ours has black and white thread and over-priced batting--that's it in the "fabric dept". They recently had some apron patterns w/fabric that were cute. They're gone; and they think fabric wasn't wanted.

My friend got me a pack of charm squares, and I found a jelly roll and matching charms at my WM in Sw Florida. They had a nice selection of pre-cuts. I miss the Fabric section.

Now if they would just at the very least stock a few bolts of plain old muslin, for goodness sakes, how much trouble would that be. I would think it could be considered a basic crafting item if they do not want to stock quilting fabric.
I did find some shaded background FQs and some dark blender FQs, and an apron kit.

You can get the 103" bleached and unbleached in 3 yard precuts at my WM. When ours quit having the cutting service nearly all fabric was $2. a yard and I got several muslins and 100% cotton backing fabric at that price. I took whatever was left on the bolt, so I'm set for awhile

I am thankful my local Walmart still has it's fabric dept.
It seems that the selection was a little off this week. They do have some charm sqs. and FQ but no jelly rolls.
