I like nice fabric but I'm not a fabric snob. I've gotten some fantastic fabs from Walmart's stacks of all sorts of fabric. A lot is not something I would carry out of the store but I've found some great buys there. To me it's worth the time to graze through all Walmart's fabrics. You never know what you'll find. I've also found some worthless fabs at the LQSs which are far from worth the prices they are asking. Like I say, you never know what you'll find. I'm so pleased to see our local Wally World is restocking their fabrics and will be doing a major re-do of the store in June - or so I hear!

Oh, I have to go look. I want more of their Simpson's fabrics to make pillow cases for a bunch of Marines! Phooey! They don't have it.

I've seen the apron and pillow case kits here in my local Walmart. They are made with cheap cotton.....almost feels like burlap so don't waste your money. Some of my Walmart's fabric is relatively good quality and some isn't. I buy most of my Hawaiian prints there and I really have to look at the fabric content.....they have a lot of poly/cotton. I can buy 100% cotton Hawaiian prints for around $5.00/yard (cheap for Maui). I just bought some Disney Tinkerbell flannel on sale for $4.00/yard....it had been $7.98/yard!

yo yo is a circle of fabric that is basted 1/4 in. from edge then gather the basting up to draw into a smaller circle. You can shape them into hearts or offset them and use them as embellishments on usually little girls clothes. I have also grouped the together to make little animals to add to my great grandsons clothes. Hope this helps you

    Lots of great project sheets!
Yes, and I just drifted through them (project sheets) - I didn't download any yet but made a note of some of the ones I am interested in - some of the projects looked pretty good.

I have the one with the birds and fruit that they show on the page I opened. It's beautiful fabric. I'm going to make an Attic Windows with it for my sis.

I did notice one thing in drifting through the fabrics listed online - be sure that you carry your browse down to the "measurement" in the product information (about half-way down the page) - Where it says 1.5 yds, 2 yds - okay - but like there is one there with a Teddy bear in the center of a quick baby quilt - while it appears you are talking about the whole thing - when I looked at the "measurement" it actually appears to be the center "panel" that is being sold. Just be careful before you order that you are sure what it is so you won't be disappointed. :-)

That's what they're selling in our stores.
