Cool! My WalMart has the June Taylor rulers deeply discounted to get rid of them. The big 1/2" strip ruler was only $13...of course I already had it but maybe y'all can get in on that deal. I did get the 4 pack of square it up rulers for $19...it has the 4", 6", 9" and 12" squares.

I was in my WM Super Store yesterday and saw no evidence of fabric, sewing, or anything quilt related. So disappointing, but typical of WM. They don't give a flip about what I'd like to see--they care only about their bottom line. I'd have bought fabric if they'd had it, but I must be the only quilter in the neighborhood.

Same here. They have brought in some more craft supplies like yarn, ribbon and such but no sign of fabric at all.

    Barb,

Were they doing a remodel of the store, and brought fabric back in at the same time?

Seems that Wal-Mart removed the fabric departments when they did whole-store remodels... and I was wondering if they are doing the same process in reverse to return the fabric department.

Might give us some idea of when we might begin to hope to see fabric in our own stores again. As in... if the store just did a re-mod, then it is not time to start hoping yet.

Hi Barb - you know they sell fabric at Wal-Mart in Zephyrhills. I work in Lakeland so can honestly tell you it's only like 20-25 min drive depending on where you live in lakeland.

Do you think we could order fabric from stores that carry fabric and have it shipped to our local store?

I was in our Walmart this morning and made a point of asking a manager when it would be coming back. I was told they had not heard anything about getting fabric back in our store.
