I know a friend who has a featherweight in their antique shop and I asked them how much they wanted for it and he said for me $135. He said it's what he pd for it. I was able to take it and try it for a week. So I picked it up and took it to the local sewing center. This guy is in his 80's so I trust him with this kind of thing. He said it needed a new cord, and an adjustment in the bobbin area cause the needle was hitting the bobbin, but he said other than that it was it good shape and would do a tuneup and clean up for $60 to $70. This includes the parts I need. I only have 3 feet, the regular and two zipper feet. So my question is should I buy it. $200 and she should be working. HELP, I need advise. No pics cause he has it and I could pick it up on Thursday.

Go get it!!! Run!!! You can buy attachments on E-Bay and down load an owner's manual for free from Singer.

    congratulations on your new FW!!

Any low shank Singer foot will work on the machine. You will probably want a darning plate for it and make sure you give it a good polish to protect the decals!!

When you get a chance drop by and post some photos over at the Vintage Sewing Machine Shop I have going now. Plenty of room there and we love to sit around and talk vintage machines!!
