I went to the site to view the quilt, and saw it and thought yest this is a beautiful quilt, not your ordinary patch work type of a quilt, but when I dug deeper into the site and saw the minute details of the cording and how the quilt was made Oh my gosh, what a fantastic quilt. I would never think or even be able to something like that. She is truly an artist from get go. I would love to go to Houston to that show. My Dentist and I were talking today about the Houston Show. Her mother is a quilter and she was telling about her mother and friends taking day trips around fabric shopping.

It is beautiful but not something I ever see me trying. I just don't have the patience to spend that much time on one thing. I like things that are done quickly. If not the whole thing at least parts of it.

Sharon is a friend of my daughter's and I have to tell you that my daughter and I were at Road2CA when Sharon's 100K winner was on display. I was walking around the show and fell absolutely in love with a wholecloth quilt that was all colored threadwork on black. I wanted to show it to my daughter and then couldn't find it again. I looked all over, but I just couldn't find it. Then, when we were talking to Sharon the next morning we were standing by her quilt. She was showing the back of the quilt to my daughter. Well, the threadwork quilt I'd fallen in love with was the back of Sharon's quilt. I was sort of embarrassed, but Sharon does that kind of work.
