I wash the fabrics before I use them, never even thought that I need to wash the finished quilt. So much I have to learn about quilting. Is it very important to wash the finished quilt?

i prewash all fabrics and then wash the quilt when it is complete. i like to know that if the recipient washes it, it won't come apart.

I always wash after the quilt is finished. I like the crinkly look; I'm sure there are no loose seams and there is no loose, floating-through-the air puppy fur on it.
