How do you wash a quilt with bamboo batting? Warm water, cold water? Gentle cycle? Dry as a delicate?

    Does anyone know?

there should be washing instructions on the packageing. I would think that if you use cold water and dry on low it should be fine. if you are worried you could always line dry the quilt. From the research i have been doing on the batting. you should be able to wash it like any other quilt.

I didn't keep the packaging, unfortunately, and when I looked online, I found different suggestions from the manufacturers. I am a fairly new quilter, and I will make sure I keep instructions for washing from now on!

I was thinking cold water and low dry. If two of us think that, it may be just what I do!

    Thanks.

usually there are washing instuctions on the batting packaging. if you do not have the package try contacting the company and looking there, the laundering instructions will be on the web site somewhere. the dream batting i used which was a bamboo blend said to wash in warm, rinse in cold. tumble dry med or low heat. but different brands have different requirements so it's important to read your packaging.

I made a baby quilt and used bamboo batting and washed it before giving it away. It shrink a tiny bit, drawing up around the stitches, making them show even more. Overall I really like it and will use it again. It feels so luxurious and silky right out of the package, a lovely product.
