Has anyone seen water resistant nylon? I've been looking for it in yardage for a craft project --- & so far no luck. Any leads appreciated!!

What about Ripstop Nylon (that used for Kites and balloons)? It's available in multiple colors from Joann's.

Reason I mention it - I used to backpack and this was the tent and rain poncho material used - it worked great in all but a heavy downpour.

This is what is used for the flags for high school flag corps and for cloth banners for outdoor use. I did a large banner with 12" appliqued letters that has been in use for about 3 years.

Ripstop Nylon is the lightweight woven coated fabric that is often used for windbreakers, tents, etc. Heavier Duty that I used to make back packs out of and duffle bags was called Trail Pack. Should be available at any full service fabric shop --JoAnn's; Hancock; Fabric Depot; etc. Also check any Marine Supply Store that carries fabrics --- should be able to find these along side of Marine Grade Vinyl and Sunbrella Canvas.

Thank you Thank you!! My JoAnn's didn't have a clue what I was talking about - there is a larger one about 40 mi from here -- time for a road trip!
