I did find a tutorial on how to design/make your own watercolor quilt. https://stitchintherapy.blogspot.com...lor-quilt.html

I have a book here on making watercolor quilts. Another something I want to do. Just not enough time in the day to get it all done. It looks like you have several leads here for your quilt.

Debbie at Stitchin' Therapy is a wonderful, wonderful quilter of color wash quilts and will help you if she can. I have never personally met her but have "known" her via internet & email for years (since 2013) and she will share any of her knowledge she can with you. She is also a fantastic free motion quilter.

Dina Pappas wrote a couple of books on this. She uses a gridded fusible facing which makes it easier. I made several blocks for the quilt, but as this quite a few years ago, my accuracy was not very goos, so the blocks were different sizes.
I resurected them recently and turned them into some pillows (wedding gifts), and the centre of a quilt.
