Wavy Quilt???
#1
At the guild meeting tonight someone ask me why her quilts where comming off the long arm wavy? I didn't have an answer. Maybe the quilts she is loading are not square? Pulled too tight? The baking is loaded with the grain of the fabric in the wrong direction? Does anyone know?

On qnntv.com there is a program called "Quilt It." There is a segment on loaded a quilt onto a frame and how to ease the border as you roll the quilt on. It was very interesting even though I don't longarm.
I try to measure the center of the quilt and cut my border the same length. I ease the quilt to the border or visa versa.

I do some LA locally and I can say its because its wavy/not squared before its loaded. As posted above its not as noticeable (although some are) before they are even loaded...I can tell as soon as I begin pressing them to get loaded. When they are wavy it takes so much longer to get them done.
