    Does anyone know if there is an easy way to add bulk or weight to a rag or frayed quilt besides all that extra cutting of the batting for the middle of the little pillows? I don't have the patience to cut and quilt each of those square but I love the look of the ragged edges.

    You could use heavier fabric like denim on one side.
