All of the craft things here would be quite easy, I think. I used to find really cool sweat shirts in catalogs or stores that cost a lot, then I'd buy a Walmart sweat shirt for $5 and do my own appliqueing or painting. I had fun and save lots of money.
We're in the process of trying to move to a home of our own instead of an apartment. I'll finally have a sewing room. I tend to do things on my own rather then buying the expensive item too. Turns out about the same except you have some pride in doing it yourself.

I hope you have gotten moved by now and set up in your sewing room. I saved a lot on sorority sweatshirts by making them myself. In the mid-90's, they were $30 from the Greek Stores on campus with only the Greek letters appliqued on the front. I bought sweat shirts from Walmart @ $5 and made the letters from any scraps that I had.

Also these little kids sweats plus made their jeans and lined legs with same fabric.
