Default We are in Charleston, SC

For DGSs graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School. We are proud beyond description. Weather has been pretty terrible, rain and wind and clouds but the purpose of our trip was for him. I did find a great GREAT quilt store in Summerville called People, Places and Quilts. So friendly, helpful and full of everything quilty. Wools, embroidery, redwork, quilts, paper piecing....they had it all. I was there several times during our week here. But, here's the real reason for our trip. We are so proud of him.

Should have said the pattern is called American Heritage by Bits and Pieces.

Now there's a town that has great places to eat. Try the Grill- Charleston or Peninsula. Peninsula has the very best coconut cake in the whole world. Charleston Grill has the freshest food and one of the best wine cellars on the east coast.

Love your quilt! You found a great quilt shop in Summerville! It is my first place to visit when I go back to Charleston. Give your DGS my congratulations and best wishes. I know you are so proud of him.

berryberry thank you so much for the coconut cake info. Apparently DD saw Hoda on the Today show last week and she raved about the coconut cake. So, daughter has requested same cake from Charleston. We are on a mission now.

Congratulations to your son! My son and DIL met at NNPS--sat next to each other in class. It's very intense coursework. It was a treat to go to Charleston as well, but we went in December so a change from Midwest weather!
What a beautiful quilt you made for him as well.
