Weak seams between blocks with QAYG?

I meant to add in the previous reply that you do not have to buy the templates. Just watch the video and you'll figure out how to cut your backing and batting to quilt your block. Of course the templates would be helpful but I don't buy anything I don't absolutely need. And with the templates I think you can only do one size block.

I wonder if you could do a zigzag or some other stitch to reinforce the seams joining the blocks.
I saw a demonstration of the fun and done qayg technic at the Waco quilt show.I made a few blocks as soon as I got home so I wouldn't forget how to do it. When I get enough scraps I will finish the quilt...... some day.

if you use quality thread- and use a slightly shorter stitch length (about 12-14 per inch) there is no reason to believe it will not hold up- i have quilts done with the method that are 10+ years old- used alot- even for forts and camping trips- have never had a seam come un-done.
