There were over 500 quilts done at the Project Linus workday when I left...about an hour before the sewing day was over (my son was in town and wanted to see him as they were leaving early to go home due to bad weather forecasted for tomorrow)...the goal was to have 800...so not sure if there would be that many...but very likely that 600 may have gotten done...such a fun work day...and a nice meal provided by the sponsor...I look forward to the next one!

Have to whip stitch a couple dedication labels to quilts plus assemble a jeans rag quilt and start ragging it.

The 20th is my birthday. I am going to do what all 62 year old American sewers and quilters should do on their birthdays. I am going to go to a Quilt Show and spend the rest of the weekend (including the holiday on Monday) putting 2 pieces of fabric together under a sewing machine needle. In other words, I plan to sew, sew, and sew. I spent today getting some fabrics together.

I am not to be disturbed ever if WWIII breaks out. Those are my orders.

May you all have a great and blessed weekend.

Just finished up a day of sewing baby quilts for local hospitals with a group from my guild. We have a relay every February to see how many tops we can get finished. I was happy that I finished 2 and almost a 3rd one. Don't know how many were turned in but there were about 25 quilters there.

My quilt guild had a service project Thursday to make baby quilts for a local shelter for mothers. I made one baby quilt there, but have worked all weekend on 6 more. Just finishing up the last one. Our meeting isn't for almost two weeks, so I'm hoping to get them quilted by then. I love doing this. Very rewarding.

I am finishing a paperpieced wallhanging for my secret sister from church. They had reveal on Thursday but I have been sick since Monday night and didn't get it finished. I am feeling better so finished this afternoon and am sewing on binding tonight. It has American Indian theme so it is definately for her:thumbup:
