Hi everyone. What you are sewing on this weekend? I cut out a baby quilt from a kit purchased last month from Connecting Threads. Gorgeous flannel, the solids look almost like suede. Also have been doing some handquilting on a UFO snowman lap quilt pieced last winter. Still trying to recoup from the Christmas gift making marathon. Just shoot me if I get that ambitious next year.

I'm finishing things! Have a baby quilt worked on for months - done! Made Mother table set with 6 placemats/napkins and topper. She wants 8 mats/napkins - done! Working on 2 tops and some Farmer's Wife blocks - FW never done, but the tops - maybe.

Love Connecting Threads! Been deleting their emails before I read them though - got enough! (Is there ever "enough"?)

I am suffering from a bad tummy bug, so sadly there is no quilting for me this weekend!

I work weekends, but this evening I'm working on getting my room cleaned up and trying to finish a sewing machine cabinet this weekend too. May not finish, but I'm hoping to make a serious dent!

I received a really cute western panel for Christmas called Horsing Around. Cut out the fabric last night and met with friends today and sewed the pieces. Still need to add three borders and it will be done. I also put the borders on a red, black and white I made from a tutorial on Missouri Star Quilting Company's web site. Tomorrow is my day to work on charity quilts at a LQS. Think I'll cut out another of the Missouri Star patterns, they are quick and easy.

Pieced a baby quilt top on Friday...pinned it up today and quilting it tomorrow. Also just purchased a paper piecing book and went through my scraps to find pieces to try this new technique.

I am working on a quilt top from www.blankquilting.com called "Calista". It is a free pattern and the fabrics are amazing. It's a challenge and love it.

I spent part of today practicing FMQ. Tomorrow is the big day - I'll start my first FMQ ever. I think it will go just fine. Not perfect but it will be presentable.

I finished a Civil War repo quilt that I started a couple of years ago. I quilted the sashing and cornerstones then tied the blocks. I really like the effect. It's bound and on one of the upstairs guest beds now.
