I would like to see his eyes when you show it to him! He will love it. Great job, and quick.

I need one of those good days sewing. I have been doing a lot of applique, and now there will be a lot of Dr. appts for DH, so I can take it along. I figure I have 13 more hours to put into this top, then I can start thinking about the quilting. Now that's really exciting.

A whole project in one day - that is a great accomplishment!

Gotta ask, how in the heck did you sew a pillow into it? Did you actually stitch through the pillow? Or maybe it is too early in the morning for me.LOL

Hi Carol: I just laid out a triple folded piece of batting on the bottom fabric and covered it with the top. Then pinned in place all around and stitched that first. Then did the squares. It was a "figure it out as i go" project.

Don't feel bad Carol. I wondered the same thing. I'm glad you asked.

This is really cute. Did you make a sandwich - fabric, batting, fabric? Then sew about the four sides - leaving a hole to turn the fabric right side out? Did you use one of those small, travel size pillow? As you can tell, I am interested in making one. Thanks!
