I agree I used my bobbins for the singer which looked the same but I did have a few problems. When I took it in for a problem that I caused while cleaning it & babysitting at the same time. I had to have them put it back together for me. They sold me the right ones & it has made a huge difference.
Congratulations on your new machine ... I know the excitement and cheer you on to enjoying using it!
I now have my fourth Janome and have loved everyone, more and more!
Bobbins ... Some will look very close and you may be tempted to use them .... then you might wonder why your machine does not work right. Just buy them from your dealer so you are sure to have the right ones.

nice, now open the top and have your DH cut a piece of 1/2" plywood to put on it to cover the singer machine and you will have your space again! OH...and you might want to put a piece of thick Berber carpet on the plywood, to keep that Janome from jumping around!

We had talked about doing something like that.

Wonderful machine! Congratulations to you!
Oh did you know that hancock fabrics sells the different feet and bobbins for janome? I know many quilting stores do too. I bought every one of them at windy moon quilts and hancocks when I had my janome. It was so inexpensive compaired to the bernina feet. Thier site shows all that available, janome.com I believe. And there is lots of projects and tutorials on how to use the feet too. A walking foot is a must! I sold mine on the quilting board a year ago christmas.
Enjoy the new machine. You will love it!
