Ice it down if you need to and soak every night in hot eposom salt water for a few days.

Thanks everyone for the sympathy and well wishes. I am up to date on my tetnus and it was brand new needle, so it was nice and sharp. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't hurt too much, but I suppose tonight when I am trying to go to sleep it will throb. The two men - my husband and son - have recovered nicely. I put a bandaid on and went back in to finish the project that I was working AND used my rotary cutter and hot iron without further incident!

War wound! Be proud. You are a REAL quilter now... you proved it when you worried about your fabric first.

Just reading this made my stomach flip. I have done it as well, and I feel your pain.
