I did that about 30 years ago. However, the needle didn't break. Hubby had to help get the needle out of the machine before I could get the needle out of me. Hasn't happened since. I wasn't a quilter then.

Ow. Not funny in the least. I do find it notable, however, that yours is about the fourth story about sewing the finger I've read since joining the Board, and I think each and every one of them mentioned whether or not they got blood on their project! I had to smile at that part. Do take care about infection.

Oh........big ouch! I have come close but have managed to avoid a direct hit so far. I suppose one day my luck will run out but I don't look forward to it! Hope you heal quickly and I know you will be more cautious in the future!!!
