My prayers for a swift recovery. This is a good warning to be careful no matter how long we have been sewing.

You must have been concentrating very hard on your sewing. I hope you are okay.

I did that about 30 years ago. However, the needle didn't break. Hubby had to help get the needle out of the machine before I could get the needle out of me. Hasn't happened since. I wasn't a quilter then.

HOPEFULLY, we only have to do this once. Glad it is now over for you! Heal quickly.

I am so sorry. It hurts doesn't it? I have done this too, years ago when I was a teenager.

Ow. Not funny in the least. I do find it notable, however, that yours is about the fourth story about sewing the finger I've read since joining the Board, and I think each and every one of them mentioned whether or not they got blood on their project! I had to smile at that part. Do take care about infection.

Oh........big ouch! I have come close but have managed to avoid a direct hit so far. I suppose one day my luck will run out but I don't look forward to it! Hope you heal quickly and I know you will be more cautious in the future!!!

I had a needle break years ago and a piece fly into my eye. A trip to the eye doc later confirmed I had a scratch on my eye. Thanks be to God it did not pierce the eye.

Honestly, I have always been more worried about this...but now since my eyes are older and I need to wear glasses when I sew, my eyes are probably much safer now.
