Yesterday was my cousin's 80th birthday party. I had made her a lap quilt, as I was sure that she would be very "quilt worthy". Well I have had a call from her daughter today to tell me that she is absolutely besotted with it, and nobody is allowed to leave the house without being shown the quilt, and telling everyone that I had made it especially for her. I am so delighted, I can't wait to speak to her myself, but I will wait until tomorrow for that as I know she will be very tired today.

That is fantastic, it's great when your hard work is appreciated.

Isn't that wonderful? I made one for my 95 year old Aunt. She loves, it, shows it, etc. but won't use it, because she might "wear it out", haha. I told her I would make her another one if she did.

I am sure she will use it as I put in a little note to say that it was to keep her knees warm in these chilly evenings

I agree, there is nothing more rewarding when the quilted gift is one that is so loved and appreciated.
