I would applique them to a solid piece of fabric, put a back on it and tie in the center of each yo yo.

Years ago, I trimmed a little bill brimmed hat -I sewed some green silk fabric around the hat edge then I put 3 green silk yo yos on the bottom of the center back, some button knots made of the silk (sewn in a long tube & tied) in the center of each yo yo and a hat pin to hold it on my head - I got a LOT of compliments.

I liked the idea that cdmmiracles had....sewing the circles onto long strips of fabric and alternate with solid strips. You need to finish it up and give it to your granddaughter, labeled with the 'story' of what was happening while you were sewing these....it will mean a great deal to her in later years. You've got some great colors there....seems to me it will be a very 'happy' quilt when you're done. Looks like several different sizes, too, which will add interest.

My mom has a huge yo yo bed cover - she puts a green sheet made to fit under it down first then puts the yo yo cover over that - you see the green through the holes in the yo yo cover. It is beautiful and weighs a ton. It is done on diagonal - Green yo yos are all around the edges and then sections are boardered through out the cover has a diamond look. Nobody ever sleeps on it or lays on it or puts anything on it.

I'm making yoyos and when I get all 600 done I'm sewing them onto a quilt block in a circle with one yoyo in the center. It's a pattern by Kim Diehl. I just finished about 100 of them while sitting in the hospital with my son....they sure help take your mind off of the situation!! Thank goodness he's healthy and back to normal!!

Make a garland out of them and decorate your sewing room.
