Default What is this antique block name?

A new quilter has her mother's and grandmother's UFO's out of feed sacks. My bee could identify several blocks, tree of life, flower garden ect. But this one was a new one. The blocks didn't come together till it was photographed, does anyone know the name of it?

    Looks like a 3-D pinwheel.

Well, I could NOT find this exact setting in Blockbase. Definitely is an eight pointed star.

It looks to me like a variation of Flyfoot.

Flyfoot was my first thought, but I'm no expert!

Our bee guessed that it was one of the one's out of the newspaper. I can find several that are so close. What throws it off are the stitching lines, they are so different from today's blocks that we knew it had to be pieced together for a larger block. Thanks for the guesses, y'all, it's still a mystery.
