    Nice idea but it doesn't work with batiks sadly as the pattern repeats aren't true. It's a shame as I've seen lots of batiks I'd love to make a kaleidoscope with but unless you fussy cut, it just doesn't work. :? :D

    i just finished 2 quilt tops where you fussy cut a 10 square and then put it on point then use 4 matching fabrics to make a split rail fence to go around the square. very pretty and it can show case a fabric nicely. will share pattern if you are interested.

    how about a picture? I know what a rail fence is but not a split rail
