What books, mags, sites inspire you when tiring of the "same old thing"?
What's your fav 'go to' site, book, blog, or other venue when looking for a pattern or fabric inspiration? The last 3 days I've spend waaaaaay too much time oo-ing and aah-ing over beautiful, fresh quilts *others* have done, especially in this QB's Pictures section, but need to stop and actually sew something, lol.
So please help - what are your favorites?

That's a hard question to answer. I have one favorite book that I find many great quilts, Leisure Arts Presents Encyclopedia of Classic Quilt Patterns. I think I counted 101 different quilts and I love so many of them. I've made several.
Other than that 1 book, I really have to hunt to find something that I 'want' to make. I'm about to the end of making quilts for my great nieces and nephews so I'm looking to find a quilt I love for me. That's hard to find these days although I've always wanted to make a sunbonnet sue or a fisherman fred.... and then there's the garden quilt I made in a mini size for a friend's new baby. I could make that one full sized. My DH loved that one and didn't want me to give it away. I designed it and I don't have a picture but I do have the original sketch that I drew. Maybe that's the one. Thanks for asking this, I think I've decided what to do next.

For me, I find modern quilts to be the most inspirational, possibly just because they're so different from traditional quilts. I have a lot of books that feature modern and 'improvisational' pieced quilts and I love looking at them.
My quilts themselves are still fairly traditional, but I think little modern touches make their way in.
But I don't really need to look for ideas...I have a list with over 20 different types of quilt on it that I want to make that I haven't gotten to yet. When I am close to finishing one quilt, my mind has already jumped ahead and excitedly picked the next quilt off the list. Those get interspersed among quilts made for a wedding or a new baby or a special occasion. Most of the quilts on my to-do list have an invisible name next to them; I usually have an idea of who might like each different quilt so I mentally flag them for that person. Every once in awhile the name is even mine!

I also like modern quilt designs, and don't have just one 'go to' reference. I get ideas from googling "modern quilts", Etsy, magazines and books on modern quilts. I love quilts by Amy Ellis and her books.

I am always searching for patterns cut from magazines that gives me ideas on my next quilt. Some of the old quilt patterns may look dated with the fabric that was used, but I am always looking for good bone structure and simplicity in piecing.

I kind of have the opposite problem. I find too much inspiration and way too many ideas for things I want to do and I just don't have the time to do them all.
I've even gotten design inspiration from coasters and greeting cards!
