    Thanks for everyones suggestions! You can always count on the fellow quilters on this board. You have all been helpful and I hope others have gotten some ideas too. :thumbup:

    Check out http://www.crookednickel.com/ She sells a fusible grid that is specifically for 5" squares. You fuse the squares and the sashing, then sew. I took a short "class" one year at the IQF in Houston and came away with a very nice hexagonal table topper.

    She also has a fusible grid for 10" squares that is basically for making t-shirt quilts.
