OK first I love your find, it's beautiful
Second I have a question. I bought a 128, 2 weeks ago, in a case just like yours, I am also in Canada, but I think mine was made in Quebec and the decals aren't as pretty as yours. Mine has a brown motor added to it but I think it was a hand crank in it's youth. There is no crank though. It also has a clip on the inside of the wooden case, does yours, do you know what it's for?

hmmmm.... how do I find this out?
Oh what a beauty, check out this site: http://www.singerco.com/support/machine-serial-numbers with the number of your machine and it will tell you a lot, please let us know what you find out.

BTW you can have a motor put on them I am seriously thinking about having mine done because of its superb stitches.

The clip on the inside case, in many cases, was to hold the knee operator, Singer had them on their machines decades before the modern machine makers thought of it!

The clip on the inside of the case if for the oil can. These old girls like to be oiled often. What a beautiful machine!

Depends on what the clip looks like. On the 128s, most likely for an oil can. :)
