I use a over stuffed antique sewing chair I love it it's just the right height and it has storage in the seat.

What kind of chair do you have? Do you have a recommendation for a specific brand or kind of chair? What works for you?

    Thanks for your advice!
I have 2 office chairs on wheels. One for the sewing machine with out the arms and one with arm rest at my computer table. I like the one at my desk better because I bought the sewing machine one at a discount furniture warehouse and it is not as comfortable. I will get a new one for my back next time I am near an office supply shop if they have any with back support.

To me most important is the height of the chair, the rest doesn't matter to me. If it is too low, my shoulders start hurting very soon.

I agree with you. I hate the chair being too low especially when I am sewing.
