I've been put in charge of my quilt guild challenge to make a bag. Can be any type of bag...tote, handbag, organizer, etc. I'm having trouble coming up with "rules" for the challenge. Can someone help me with ideas?

A few ideas I have for you on the Rules for your bag challenge could be:

    1. Make a bag with a black fabric, a white fabric (or black and white print) and 1 color fabric (solid or print).

    2. Make a bag using a fabric print that tells the viewer something about You! For example; football fan, Christmas, so use a Holiday print, knitting, animal print, etc.... You can add other fabrics, but the print must be the predominant one.

    3. Have each person bring a fat quarter that will be given away. Place all the FQs in a bag. Have someone pass out the FQ to each participant. If you get your own then put it back and receive another one. Now here is the fun part: Allow others to trade with one another if they wish.. The bag must include at least half of the FQ anyplace you wish on the bag. (if they don't like the fabric, it can be a bag bottom or pocket lining etc.

I belong to a modern guild (even though modern is not really my style, I love the members) and we are currently doing a Bee Sewcial challenge. We make a block a month for one person...so in January Linda received about 15 blocks based on her prompt.

This sounds fun! All I can say is, I'm glad my name isn't Xavier!
