After looking in 2-3 places, I can usually find the shade of whatever color I need.
Last wk I was stumped trying to find rose color yardage. The stores have pale pink, hot pink, reddish pink ,a purple pink....but no rose.
Was afraid to trust colors on line & finally bought the 2yds I needed. It's close, but still not the perfect rose.

Colors go in and out of style regularly. For a long time it was impossible to find yellows. That's one reason why quilters build a "stash".

What color fabric is hardest to find?
Usually the color I need to finish off an almost complete quilt.

I think the raspberries and the orchids are the hardest to find, personally. When i like something, I really want a very distinctive shade of it.
I am getting better at finding things online, but you can only tell to a degree. I'm not picky, I just care a lot, lol! :XD:

Every year the palette changes... I have been collecting a particular shade of turquoise and lavendar for 4 years now... It will take me 25 years to get what I need at this rate  :lol: :D:D:D

Reds are hard to find. There are lots of reds but never in the shade I want/need at the time.
