    I am not very good at putting colors together but so far my bargello is shaded of browns and teals, but I still need a 3rd color to work with...any suggestions?

    I'd probably put orange in there. Brown is actually a shade of red/orange and the orange will vibrate off the teal.

    Wow that is good to know....I never knew that. :) I am still learning about colors. I really should get a book or something to help me coordinate better with my quilting. :)

    A friend of mine made one in teal and purple. It is gorgeous.

    You can use the selvage and pick a color that is in your fabric from the colored dots or squares.

    DUH!!! Wow i cant believe that I never thought of that before barb. I had noticed the little dots before, just never though about what they were there for I guess. Thank you so much for the tip!! :D

    Some reds will also play nicely with those colors. I made a quilt out of teals and browns and it had some red accent in it. Here is a link to the picture. It's on page 3

    Cream would also work if you want to keep it just those two main colors!

    momto4, I just posted a tan and blue Navajo quilt. might check it out....I didn't add a third color.
