great suggestion but only find kind of dull variegated thread , red and grey, here in Montreal....and I have checked out all kinds of sewing stores....

I'm sorry, that's so sad. I do embroidery and can find it in the rayon and even for my serger. Which I use the serger thread for embroidery, quilting, etc. I follow my own rules as long as I can get it to work.
