    3 and 5 are nice, particularly no 3.... but please don't use the bright yellow... it kills it...

    I like those also. I especially lean toward #3. Perhaps a narrower sashing would be interesting also.

    If you feel as if the tan background is too dark, how about making 15 new blocks with a lighter tan. Then alternate the 15 new blocks with 15 original blocks. Lay them out alternatively and then you will see a nice (subtle) secondary pattern emerge. So you'll have six original blocks with dark tan left over..... Use them on the back or make a pillow case or a bureau scarf! It still really isn't too late.
