Today my goal is to get one of the baby quilts that I'm working on quilted, except I have no idea what thread color to use for the stitching.

I was thinking a deep purple or white and maybe just a meandering stitch. The people I am giving it to don't want anything that's too pink and I don't have good judgement when it comes to colors, so any suggestions would be great.

Here's a picture of the top.

What about one of the varigated in the pink/purple range?

    If not that..I'd use white

Thanks Celeste! And thanks Minda and Sandpat...I think I will quilt it with white. Now if I can get my butt in gear, maybe I can get the quilting done before I go to bed. :)

White or violet, depends if you want it standing out I suppose. Nice double Irish by the way. I'm tackling the quilting on a monster double in between projects.

What is the name at the top of the quilt? It looks very pretty on there.

The name is Zella. I got fed up with the applique though and took it off. I ended up making her a different quilt. This one is so pretty though that I had to finish it!
