Sounds like a great idea -- same colors but different.
    Ditto....

How about making them in primary colors, red, blue, yellow, green; i.e., rainbow colors. Any primary color could dominate and it would be perfect for either gender.

i would go with a very blueish purple for the other one. green and a very blueish purple will be great together. especially if one of the babies is suposed to be a girl. the ultrasounds are getting better. you can always wait for the next ultrasound to be sure. start the green one and go from there. I am sure that the mom will probably have another one in a couple of weeks to check on the babies.

I was thinking that I would make one green quilt. What color would you make the other quilt?

I am thinking of making Log Cabins, one each of two different designs.

Yes, brighter the better, stimulates their minds. Black and white too, I think its the contrast that does it...so I guess any two colors with high contrast would work.
When my niece had her first boy, she wanted browns, blues and rust. For the second boy she asked for autumn colors.

Make them both black and white with a bright (or two)! :)

    Yellow goes well with green.

I would use the basic colors of red, blue, green, yellow, orange. These are nuetral and make up lovely and bright. The first color a child sees is red so these are great.

Stay away from gender specific! DS #2 was 'supposed' to be a girl all the way to the delivery room. At 6'4" & 175 lbs now it's a good thing he turned out a boy. Anyway we returned a whole lot of pink stuff as nearly everything from my baby shower was pink.
I tend to go with brights or cute animal prints or ABCs.

What color is the nursery? Make according to that. Or make "I spy" quilts that can be used as child grows.
