Wow, I just came on here after a very long two days of cooking, to prepare for 45 Christmas Eve guests. I am amazed at the response, it makes me so happy I'll be going through each and will private message some of the questions. But just to answer a few, we opened the shop June 1st. 2010. The name "The Quilted Cow", well basically I moved here to the country and just thought the cows were adorable and they peaked my curiosity Yes we will be selling on-line soon, we are moving to a bigger space in March and plan on getting online shopping started at the same time.

The 1st place I head for in a quilt shop is the Batiks. It can be a real challenge to find batiks in softer colors, which I like to use as backgrounds for the bright bold patterns.

I would like blender fabrics also. Some creams and beiges.

I love florals with black backgrounds. White on white, creams, and taupe for blenders. I also like blue and yellow fabric combos. I also tend to go for the darker colors like the ones called Kansas Troubles. As for greens, I like sage and hunter.

OKLAHOMA PEACH

I like t he traditional colors, batiks nature colors, not into the bright 70's color, was visiting Andover thought I would gag, could make a cute contemporary quilt, but mine are made for life, and the new colors will outdate themselves just like them did in t he 70's.

I have the hardest time finding just the right color "blue" Not a deep navy..but not a cornflower. I keep searching and know that I will "know" it when I see it.
