I am staying home today, but yesterday I had my first quilting class. I bought material to make a lap quilt which I will start in class next week.

I also bought some very pretty blue shimmery fabric that I have no idea what to use for, but couldn't resist.

I have to get to Joanne's and use my 50% off coupon. Not sure what I am buying yet!

Funny you should ask! I scored from Craig's list. I was after fabric by the pound but the lady in front of me bought it all! The nerve of her to send two men to do this. She wasn't even there to go through it! They were bigger than me so I kept my mouth shut. But . . .

10 Omnigrid rulers 8 of which I didn't have, two cutting mats 23x36" and 18x23, three rotary cutters of different sizes (olfa and fiskar), pins, needles (schmetz), rotary blades (olfa), seam rippers (never can have to many!), and two beautiful quilt tops. One is layered and pinned ready to be quilted. All for $100.

I bought 3 yards each of 2 different colors flannal from Joannes. Red and white. I am sure I will find something to do with it. And like a true quilter in training I could not pass it up for $2.00 a yard :)

I bought 4 quilting books, from amazon.
The Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns, by Jinny Beyer. 496 pages, and 4050 patterns. Also 23 Great American Quilt Books from the early 90's that I didn't have! :-D :-D :-D

this is a fun thread! I'm making a "scrap" (Ha!) quilt out of batiks but wanted to fill in gaps so I bought $70 worth of 1/8 yd strips and spent hours organizing my collection. Too fun!
