What did you do on National Quilt Day?

I finished making the appliques for my grand daughter's armadillo and butterfly quilt!
Now just to get them on the top and off to quilting we go!
I got 40 more 2-1/4" HST made for my DH new lap quilt
And I got some of my newly arrived stash folded and put up
All in all a good day

I completed some seniors bibs that I had started the night before, these are for my daughter who works in a seniors home , she asked me for some fabric so that she might make them ,but, I decided to do them for her. Haven't called her as yet but will do so soon.

Went shopping for backing fabric for my Spiderweb top. I wanted to pick up Wonderunder but I am having trouble finding it. I bought Heat and Bond Featherweight and I will see how it works. Kinda pricey at $8 a meter here. I used it to do my version of the Easter table runner that was posted earlier this week. I have the top done and once it is quilted, I will post a picture.

I wanted to work on a couple quilts but spent the day eating popsicles. My sweet granddaughter gave me her strep throat. Ugh!! I never knew I could hurt so bad in so many places. Thank the Dear Lord for antibiotics!!!

I got the first clue done on the Mystery Quilt Train Ride (tablerunner) from the Q. Board and can't wait till next Saturday to get the next clue. Sandwiched two small blankets done for my SIL's Cats. I have decided that fusible batting is not for me. I get started good, and then when I get it all ironed, I find puckers on the back. This time I used flannel on the back, and couldn't get it apart to fix it. Oh, well, the front looks good, so I'm sure the Cats won't be looking at the back! LOL!

I rested from a 12-hour day yesterday participating in a local shop hop. Had a blast with my friends. I thought I would do some quilting today, but the oomph is not there. I'm glad others did some work though.

I sewed 2 blocks for my sister's puzzle quilt and 1 block for a sampler quilt I have been working on for over a year. I plan on having it completed by the end of the month. I also spent numerous hours on the quilting board.
