    I've been collecting batiks for over a year to make a double wedding ring. The melons (background) will be a mottled light cream. There should be plenty of contrast with my bright batiks.

    I did one for my daughter using the "turning 20" pattern. It's very scrappy and she loves it! this is the only pic i have, it's folded, but you get the idea.... It was using fat quaters that were then cut up, so would work for what you have.

    What about a french braid pattern.
    I just bought a quilt kit off ebay with batiks and it looks fantastic.

    Should you only use batiks with other batiks in a quilt, or can you use regular cottons and batiks in the same quilt? Just wondering if they shrunk differently etc...
